Early Evening at Marazion

January 9th, 2009 by admin

well it Bl&*dy well seemed like early evening all day.. the light was terrible and it was High Iso’s all round for todays images.. still it felt a little warmer today, I’d say it almost crept up to zero lol.

Met Bob down at the marsh at marazion and shot afew into the gloom, most were unuseable due to the incredibly low light.. but all was not lost.. I whacked it up 1200 ISO and walked up towards Jordans a little to get the majesty of the Buzzard sitting proudly on the RSPB sign.. who’smprotecting who i thought ūüėČ

Perched in waiting..

Finally gave in to the light over the marsh and moved down to the sailing club at marazion and took a walk along the beach with the Beamer mounted firmly on top of the camera.. first up was this wee chap if anyone knows what it is (Probably a sparrow lol) whatever he posed nicely for me…

Sunny Arturnoon at Godgers and Hayle

January 6th, 2009 by admin

Went up to Godrevy to shoot the surf but after half an hour on the rocks I was ready to do something else as the wind was cutting deep sitting on the edge of the ocean.. back to the van to find Leanne cooking a nice crisp bacon sandwich which was more than welcome.

We had a brief discussion whilst tucking in an enviably aromatic Bacon sandwich and decided to head down to the river at Hayle and see what was about, just at that moment I noticed a lovely Buzzard sat on a nearby Post and spent the next half hour chasing it from the car park at Godrevy almost to the top field before realising I wasn’t getting any closer than I’d been when he first landed.. so here’s the best shot I got of him..

the post then became a podium for posing for the next short while, first a Female Blackbird

Then came along a stonechat

who came a little closer

Then down to the riverside at hayle for an hour, first thing there was a little egret sitting in the sunshine..

Ringed Plover.. and finally too dark for the Hide  I scared off a firecrest with the beamer before getting the shot and caught this heron leaving amongst loads of grain..
